This degree program combines the humanities with the social sciences. Courses in the humanities focus on the thought and cultures of Japan and other important regions of the world. Courses in the social sciences focus on politics, economics, and related disciplines.
This degree program combines specialized courses on international cooperation and case studies with practical education such as internships. With an emphasis on both theory and practice, we train specialists in the field of international cooperation who are able to employ their skills on the broad stage of international society.
Our doctoral students study in a broad range of fields from a global standpoint: regional cultures, language education, human sciences, and the politics and economics of Japan and world regions such as Europe and America, the Middle East, and Asia.
