ASPIRE Japan is a student association, formed in May, 2012, to promote the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI). Launched in the fall of 2010, UNAI is a partnership program connecting the United Nations with universities and other higher education institutions from all over the world. J. F. Oberlin University is one of the “global hubs” supporting UNAI’s ten principles, and the university has pledged “a commitment to the principles inherent in the United Nations Charter as values that education seeks to promote and help fulfill.”
ASPIRE Japan will report about its activities on the dates below. Through this report, it hopes to heighten interest in ASPIRE and UNAI and encourage more students to take part in its activities. People who are interested in the United Nations, international cooperation, world peace, human rights, poverty, and global issues are especially welcome.
