As they have done every year since 2011, the J. F. Oberlin University Choir will present a summer concert to benefit people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. This year’s concert will be held on Saturday, June 27, and will feature contemporary American songs, including gospel songs, as well as more traditional hymns. Donations will be collected for the earthquake victims, and any support will be greatly appreciated.
This will be the first performance for the choir’s new members, and the choir looks forward to seeing a big, enthusiastic audience.
Songs to be performed include:
? “I Want Jesus to Walk with Me” (Roderick Williams)
? “Kyrie” and “Gloria” from “Missa Brevis” (William Matthias)
? “Amazing Grace” (John Newton)
Conductor: Professor Masako Yokoyama
