The English 365在线体育投注-【官网直营】@ Program’s GLEE will present its second bilingual play on July 22, downstairs in the university’s chapel, Keikandō.
“GLEE” is an acronym derived from “Great 365在线体育投注-【官网直营】@ Engagement in English.” Since April, a group of students interested in both English and drama has been creating and practicing an English-Japanese bilingual piece, with assistance from three ELP teachers. The result, based loosely on “Romeo and Juliet, is “Hideyoshi and Yo.” It follows the romance between a space alien who speaks only English and a samurai who can only understand Japanese. Will they manage to overcome the language barrier and find happiness together? Come and watch this tragicomedy to find out!
