An exhibition called “Invisible Light on a Cherry Blossom Blizzard” will be held at Shibuya Tokyu Bunkamura Wall Gallery from Wednesday, February 20, to Tuesday, February 26. Students of Professor Keiichi Tanaka, in the Visual Arts program of J. F. Oberlin University’s College of Performing and Visual Arts, used pieces of plastic bottles to imitate flower petals, which they painted with fluorescent paint and illuminated with ultraviolet light to create the appearance of cherry blossoms. Japanese-style paintings from Professor Izumi Fujisaki’s Japanese painting class, done with fluorescent paint, will also be on display.
