The J. F. Oberlin University Choir will stage a new year’s charity concert featuring Handel’s “Messiah” at Morino Hall Hashimoto on January 11. All proceeds will be donated to the cities of Rikuzentakata, Ofunato, and Ishinomaki to help with their recovery from the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. Professors from J. F. Oberlin’s College of Performing and Visual Arts will perform with the choir.
