Chancellor Satow meets Sir Ivor Roberts, President of Trinity College, University of Oxford

J. F. Oberlin University’s chancellor Toyoshi Satow met Sir Ivor Roberts, the President of Trinity College, University of Oxford, on April 6 in Tokyo.
Chancellor Satow is the President of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), and its 50th anniversary conference will be held in Oxford at Trinity College in May, 2015. In Tokyo, Sir Ivor and Chancellor Satow discussed international affairs and the future of university education.
Sir Ivor was educated at Oxford University. After graduating, he worked for the British Diplomatic Service for more than 40 years, rising to the position of British Ambassador to Italy. This meeting is expected to deepen the ties between the two universities in the future.
